Fee-creep tracker

Processors rarely raise rates with a phone call. They tuck it into statement inserts nobody reads, and your effective rate drifts up a few points at a time. Log each month's numbers — two minutes — and the tracker shows you the drift before a year of it does.

Adding a month again updates it — one entry per month.

Why this exists: the notice nobody reads

Visa, Mastercard, and Interac are required to notify merchants of fee changes, but they do it in the thin inserts buried in your statement — the ones that go straight to recycling. Two recent examples of how small they look on paper: Interac added a $0.0058 per-transaction network fee (April 2025), and Mastercard changed some TPE (terminal processing) fees (January 2025). Fractions of a cent and tiny tweaks — real money across a year's volume. The tracker catches what the inserts hide.

Come back after next month's statement — two minutes. That's the whole habit.
